Using the Assessment Functions

 

 

Before a teacher or administrator may use the assessment function, classes must be created at the school web site and students must be entered into them.

 

The teacher should touch the green Assessment button to start recording the data. The resulting screen will present an on-screen keyboard and ask for the user ID. Type this into the box using the on-screen keyboard. Press the Enter key when done.

 

 

 

In the same manner, type the password into the box on the next screen and press Enter again. The system will verify the accuracy of these two entries. If correct, the next screen will provide a list of classes for the teacher to choose from. Touch a class name, then press the Next button in the lower right corner of the screen. 

 

 

A list of students in that class will appear. Touch a student name, then the Next button in the lower right corner.

  

 

The selected student should stand motionless on the weight platform for approximately twelve (12) seconds. When instructed on the screen, the teacher should have the student place their hands on the sensor pads for five (5) seconds. This should be done without moving position or changing pressure on the sensors during sensor recording time.

 

When the sensor recording is done, the results may be viewed by touching the Data button. The Results screen displays height, age, gender, weight, ohms, percent of body fat (pbf) and body mass index (BMI) information.

 

 

Touching the Next button in the lower right corner returns the screen to the student selection list. One, several or all of the students may be recorded in any given session.
