No power

Plug in, turn on all equipment. Call school technician, if needed.

Loose, hanging wires

Call school technician to restore connections.

“No Video” or  “No Signal” message

Call school technician to restore connections.

No Internet (red dot on screen)

Call school technician to restore Internet connection.

“Height 0, non-existent or less than 4’3”…” message

Enter an assessment for student or fill in height field on existing assessment.

“Age greater than/less than…” message

Correct the birth year entered on the Kiosk User Demographics section of the student’s record summary.

Other failure message appearing prior to LiftAmerica screens

Call school technician to repair Windows operating system.  If not resolved, report problem to BioMass.

Kiosk does not report or operate correctly

Verify that kiosk has been registered. Reboot. If not resolved, report problem to LiftAmerica.

Software freezes

Reboot computer. If not resolved, report problem to LiftAmerica.

“Tanita Error” message

Check that Tanita unit is plugged in correctly and turned on. If not resolved, report problem to LiftAmerica.

Tanita window reports an error code

See Interpreting Tanita Codes, above, and read the Tanita Body Composition Analyzer Instruction Manual and Technical Notes. If not resolved, report problem to Tanita service representative.

Readouts are inconsistent for same person on same kiosk

Run Tanita tests. Report results to BioMass.

Readouts vary by more than 2% between kiosks for the same person

Run Tanita tests with identical input on each kiosk. Report results to BioMass.

Any other problem

Run tests as seem appropriate. Gather as much specific information as possible and report it to LiftAmerica.
