Using the Workout Functions

Before a student may use the workout function, he or she must have been enrolled at the school web site and have at least one (1) assessment recorded by a teacher at the computer. Each student should also have a Fitkey assigned to him/her for use during specific class periods. The Fitkey can be inserted into the slot when the user steps up to the kiosk or at the time instructed to do so during data recording.

At the end of the workout session, each student should update his information by touching the green Workout button. The resulting screen will present an on-screen keyboard and ask for the user ID.  Type user ID into the box using the on-screen keyboard and press the Enter key when done.

Type the password into the box on the next screen and press Enter again. The system will verify the accuracy of these two entries.

If user ID and password are correct, the following screen will instruct the student to stand motionless on the weight platform for approximately twelve (12) seconds. The next screen will direct the student to insert their Fitkey into the slot, if this has not already been done. The Fitkey should be left in the slot until the session is complete.

The student will then be instructed to place his or her hands on the sensor pads for five (5) seconds. This should be done without moving position or changing pressure on the sensors during the sensor recording time.

At the end of data recording, the screen offers the student an opportunity to review his/her own information by touching the Data button.  A Results screen appears containing height, age, gender, weight, ohms, percent of body fat (pbf) and body mass index (BMI) information.

When finished reviewing the information, touch the red Next button the bottom right of the screen, which returns the user to the opening screen.
